Travelling

An artwork commissioned for the playground area of Caringbah High School created over a few days. The artwork began with layers of purple, and green shades before white lines and patterns were painted in motion.

The style I painted is what I call Travelling and represents our journey in life. The artwork has a bold White flowing design which goes across the wall linking a number of circular sections together, that within my work symbolise groups of people. These groupings can be the different classes and year groups at school. Having them all connected shows the travelling aspect and moving from one location to the next as the students learn and grow. The work is made up with a number of circles, with the larger dots representing the teachers, staff and adults that the students learn from and the smaller dots signifying the students.
