This mural was painted in conjunction with the 2006 Kurri Kurri Nostalgia Festival and Cruise. A celebration of the 1950s, Kurri Kurri comes alive over a weekend in March every year when classic American cars line the streets and the mood is set with rock 'n' roll dancing and live bands.
Johnny O'Keefe is featured singing in the background of the mural and the diners seated at the table are a likeness of the proprietor Sam Maroulis' son and daughter.
