Bringing a large chunk of nature into the Campbelltown Hospital second stage redevelopmemt, this 80-metre, three-storey artwork incorporates nature into a hospital environment that helps to enhance the healing process. Endemic medicinal flora and fauna drawings are integrated into wayfinding, floors, and interior designs, guided by the questions of 'What should a hospital feel like?' and 'How should our spaces connect us to culture?'
The work was delivered as part of the South Western Sydney Health and Arts Strategic Plan 2018-2023 under the guidance of cultural mentors Aunty Glenda Chalker, Aunty Jenny Shillingsworth, Uncle Ivan Wellington and Uncle Eddy Burge, as well as Aunty Diedra who provided guided walks on Country while sharing plant knowledge.
