This work pays homage to Pemulwuy the Rainbow Warrior, a Bidjigal man and one of the most significant activities and political figures in the late 18th century. Pemulwuy led a twelve-year resistance campaign in the Australian Frontier Wars. He was believed to be a shapeshifter and could morph into Buyu Wargun, "black crow" in Bidjigal language, and was reputed to be 'karadji' (clever man).
Painted over three weeks spanning 120 metres along the M5, with assistance from Jessie Waratah, Blackbird, and Naomi Star.
